There were 10 companies that submitted a total of 37 technical offers in the bidding process for works to expand the transmission system, promoted by the National Electric Coordinator.
The National Electric Coordinator informed that 10 companies submitted a total of 37 technical offers for the different works being tendered, out of a total of 39 projects, which seek to give continuity to works with early termination of the contract.
The firms that submitted bids are Andaluza de Montajes Eléctricos y Telefónicos S.A. Agencia en Chile Bac Ingenieros SPA Changshu Fengfan Power Equipment Co. Ltd Conexión Kimal-Lo Aguirre S.A. Elecnor Chile S.A. Monlux Chile S.A. PowerChina Ltd. Agencia Chile Quantum Energy SPA Sistema de Transmisión del Sur S.A.
During the opening ceremony, held on September 11, it was corroborated that the bidders uploaded the corresponding administrative and technical documents to the Coordinator’s bidding portal. This milestone of the process was reflected in the Minutes of Opening of Administrative and Technical Bids published in the Coordinator’s portal and website.
Among the works included in the process is the expansion of the Kimal Substation, which generates the spaces required for the connection of the HVDC Kimal – Lo Aguirre Line; the capacity expansion of the 1×66 kV Charrúa-Chillán Line, the laying of the second circuit of the 2×500 kV Ancoa – Charrúa line, the expansion of the Parinas substation, and the capacity increase of the 2×220 kV Nueva Zaldívar-Likanantai Line, among others.
Now the evaluation process of the bids submitted has begun and the next step will be the opening of the economic bids, scheduled for November 14, 2024.
